On 5/1/09 M said... The "esthetician" refused to wash her hands when asked and screamed at me telling me that I had no right to ask her to do that. When I pointed out that I did, she told me that I was rude and walked out of the room. When she came back, she provided a substandard service--I paid for a 30-min service and only received 15 minutes--far away from being relaxing as she continued to clean her supplies and put away glass jars. She later admitted to my sister and the manager (her father) that she did that on purpose as we had a "character clash." While I was trying to calmly explain the situation to the manager she turned increasingly more hostile and started screaming at my sister as well. Bafore I was able to point out that it's very important to wash your hands in the wake of the swine flu, she threatened the two of us with police and screamed to get out of "her" salon. She also rudely told us that her daddy will "spank her later tonight." I find the entire event extremely unprofessional, stressful and unsanitary--as, in addition to sporting unsanitary and rude staff, the sheets were stained, and the entire salon smelled like cigarette smoke. I hope nobody has to deal with her "spa treatment" again.

Just wanted to add something to my previous complaint (dated 5/1/09)--the esthetician did wear gloves and, in the end, washed her hands at one point in the procedure, but her rudeness and unprofessionalism escalated as time went on. Also, as gloves cannot ever substitute good hand hygiene, I would have felt much safer had she washed her hands prior to the procedure and find it unsanitary that she did not. Thank you. M.
